Mahau Sound is the innermost of the many sounds and bays of this beautiful and historic area known as the Pelorus.

RAMONA is 33 km by sealed road from Picton via the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive, turning right onto the Kenepuru Road. Total driving time from Picton is 45 minutes.

From Nelson or Blenheim travel on State Highway 6, turn onto Queen Charlotte Drive at Havelock and turn again onto Kenepuru Road at Linkwater. Driving time to RAMONA is 30 minutes from Havelock.
